Coleman

Coleman Advocate began publishing Aug. 11, 1883 by Henry F. Linton.

 

The Coleman Tribune began publishing circa 1890. By 1941 it was published by Gladys E. Daniells.

 

Midland City

Midland Sentinel began publishing circa Apr. 1858 by Nathan T. Carr. By 1859 it was called Midland City Sentinel. It ceased circa 1865 and was continued by Midland Journal.

 

Midland Journal began publishing circa 1865 by George H. Gies. It published for a very short time before changing names to Midland Independent.

 

Midland Independent began publishing circa 1866 by George W. Hughes and later William H.H. Bartram and F.F. Hopkins. It was republican. It ceased circa 1880 and was continued by Midland Republican.

 

The Midland City Times began publishing circa 1868 by William H.H. Bartram. It lasted a few weeks.

 

Bartram's Cheek began publishing circa Jan. 1870 by William H.H. Bartram. By Apr. 14, 1870 it was published in East Saginaw.

 

The Midland Times began publishing circa Jan. 1871 by William H.H. Bartram.

 

Midland Courier began publishing circa 1878 by George McConnell. It was continued by The Review.

The Midland Republican began publishing on Jan. 8, 1881 by T.W. Crissey. It ceased on Feb 10, 1927 when it merged with Midland Sun, to form Midland Republican and the Midland Sun.

 

The Midland Sun began publishing on Feb. 17, 1881 by Frank S. Burton. It ceased on Feb. 10, 1927 when it merged with Midland Republican to form Midland Republican and the Midland Sun.

 

The Midland Tocsin began publishing circa 1888 by Paul Marrin.

 

Midland Republican and the Midland Sun began publishing on Feb. 17, 1927 by Crissey Pub. House. One year later the title was shortened to Midland Republican.

 

Midland Republican began publishing on Mar. 5, 1928. It ceased on Apr. 29, 1937 when it became Midland Daily News and Midland Republican.
