Gaylord

Otsego County News began publishing circa 1886. By 1893 it was published by T.B. Willoughby. It was Republican.

 

Otsego County Champion began publishing circa 1886. By 1905 it was published by W.A. Harrington.

 

Otsego County Times began publishing circa 1905 by R.B. Crehore. From 1907 to 1909 it included The Vanderbilt Times, “official paper Vanderbilt Village.” It ceased on Nov. 26, 1909 and merged with Otsego County Herald, to form Otsego County Herald and Times.

 

Otsego County Herald and Times began publishing on Dec. 3, 1909 with Glenn R. Miner as editor. It ceased on Mar. 12, 1925 and was continued by Otsego County Herald Times.

 

Otsego County Advance began publishing circa 1912 by F.A. Lord and J.H. Goldie. It ceased circa 1920.

 

Otsego County Herald Times began publishing on Mar. 19, 1925 by Forrest Lord. Between 1970 and 1983 the title bounced between Herald Times and Otsego County Herald Times. In 1976 it added a separate edition titled Northern Michigan Herald Times. It ceased on Oct. 6, 1983 and was continued by Gaylord Herald Times.

 

Michigan North began publishing on June 14, 1969 with William Koelzer as editor. It published nine issues during the summer.

 

Gaylord Herald Times began publishing on Oct. 13, 1983 by a company of the same name.

 

Otsego Lake

Inter-Lake Herald began publishing on May 7, 1875 by Charles L. Fuller. It was Republican. Within a couple issues the title changed to Otsego County Herald.

 

Otsego County Herald began publishing circa June 1875 by Charles L. Fuller. By 1879 it moved to Gaylord. It ceased on Nov. 26, 1909 and merged with Otsego County Times to form Otsego County Herald and Times.
