The Valley Independent began publishing circa 1906 by Independent Pub. Co.

 

The Cloverland Press began publishing on Dec. 20, 1912.

 

Greenland

Twin City Miner began publishing circa 1902 by Adam Bower.

 

Ontonagon

The Lake Superior Miner was publishing on Aug. 18, 1855 by James Carson. It was later published by George D. Emerson and William S. Bliss. It ceased circa 1869 and was continued by The Ontonagon Miner.

 

Upper Peninsula Advocate began publishing circa 1858 by William S. Bliss & Co. It ceased circa 1859 when it moved to Houghton.

 

The Ontonagon Miner was publishing circa 1869 by Alfred Meads. It ceased circa 1895.

 

The Ontonagon Herald began publishing on Apr. 22, 1881 by M.L. Dunham & Dirr.

 

Rockland

Rockland Reporter began publishing circa 1899 by M.R. Stevens.

 

The County News-Review began publishing circa 1940 by Rockland Pub. Co.

 

White Pine
