Rose City
Rose City Review began publishing circa 1904 by Calvin Goss.
Rose City News began publishing on Jan. 10, 1952 by Frank M. and John F. Weber. It ceased circa 1962 when it merged with The Ogemaw County Herald, to form The Ogemaw County Herald and the Rose City News.
West Branch
Ogemaw County Journal began publishing circa June 1876 by F.T. Ward. The press work was done in West Bay City.
Ogemaw County Herald began publishing circa 1878. By 1880 it was published by Jay Allen. It ceased circa 1890 and merged with West Branch Times to form The Herald-Times.
Ogemaw County Times began publishing circa Sept. 1882 by William A. Weeks and M.H. French. It was likely continued by West Branch Times.
West Branch Times was publishing by 1887 by Sharpe & Sharpe. It ceased circa 1890 and merged with Ogemaw County Herald to form The Herald-Times.
The Herald-Times began publishing circa 1890 by Jay Allen.
Ogemaw Republican began publishing circa 1896 by George L. Donovan.
The Herald-Times and Ogemaw Republican was publishing by 1916. It ceased circa 1924 and was continued by The Ogemaw County Herald.
The Ogemaw County Herald began publishing on July 17, 1924 by W.A. Crandell. It ceased on Apr. 18, 1963 when it merged with Rose City News, to form The Ogemaw County Herald and the Rose City News.
The Ogemaw County Herald and the Rose City News began publishing on Apr. 25, 1963 by Robert S. Marshall. It was likely continued by The Tri-County Herald.
The Tri-County Herald was publishing by Apr. 1981 likely in West Branch. It covered Ogemaw, Roscommon, and Oscoda counties.
