Cooper Harbor

Lake Superior News and Miners’ Journal began publishing on July 11, 1846 by E.D. Burr and edited by John N Ingersoll. In Oct. it moved to Sault Ste. Marie and became Lake Superior News and Mining Journal.

 

Eagle Harbor

Keweenaw Times began publishing circa 1865 by J.A. Crozer.

 

Keweenaw Herald was publishing by July 1874.

 

Fort Wilkins

The Agate. of Fort Wilkens, Mich was a single issue handwritten newspaper published on April 1, 1846 at Fort Wilkens. According to the paper it was “Devoted to men, mind, matter, pneumatics, and finance; to adventures, advertisements, accidentals, and wonderosities.”

 

Mohawk

The Keweenaw Miner began publishing on Feb. 22, 1907 by the Keweenaw Printing Co. and edited by William E. Smith.
