Manistique

Schoolcraft County Pioneer began publishing on Apr. 29, 1880 by Wright E. Clarke. On Jan. 30, 1884 it increased to semi-weekly. It ceased on Apr. 18, 1885 and was continued by Semi-Weekly Pioneer.

Semi-Weekly Pioneer began publishing on Apr. 22, 1885 by Wright E. Clarke. It ceased circa Dec. 1886 and was continued by Tri-Weekly Pioneer.

Tri-Weekly Pioneer began publishing circa Dec. 1886 by Pioneer Pub. House. In July 1887 the title was lengthened to Manistique Tri-Weekly Pioneer. On June 28, 1892 and was continued by Manistique Semi-Weekly Pioneer and later by The Manistique Weekly Pioneer. It ceased on Dec. 5, 1896 and merged with Manistique Tribune, to form The Manistique Pioneer-Tribune.

Sunday Sun began publishing circa 1888 by Will Montgomery. It ceased and was continued by The Manistique News.

The Manistique News began publishing circa 1889 by Charles H. Watson. It ceased after a year and was continued by Sunday Morning Star.

Sunday Morning Star began publishing on Oct. 12, 1890 by Charles H. Watson. It ceased circa May 1891 and was continued by Saturday Morning Star.

The Manistique Tribune began publishing circa 1891 by Tribune Pub. Co. It ceased on Dec. 4, 1896 when it merged with Manistique Weekly Pioneer, to form The Manistique Pioneer-Tribune.

Saturday Morning Star began publishing circa May 1891 by Ed Jones. It ceased on May 20, 1893 and was continued by The Tribune.

The Tribune began publishing on June 1, 1893 by Tribune Pub. Co. After one issue the title was lengthened to The Weekly Tribune.

The Manistique Democrat began publishing on May 12, 1894 by Manistique Pub. Co. It ceased circa 1896 and was continued by Manistique Courier.

Manistique Härold began publishing on April 6, 1894 by Miss Nellie Steffenson. It was in Swedish.

The Manistique Courier began publishing on Dec. 25, 1896 with J.H. MacNaughton as editor.

The Manistique Pioneer=Tribune began publishing on Dec. 11, 1896 by Tribune Pub. Co. Some time in the 1970s its title was shortened to Pioneer Tribune published by Senger Pub. Co.

The Courier-Record began publishing circa 1897. By 1919 it was published by Gero Pub. Co..

Citizen and Farmer began publishing on Oct. 26, 1911 by T.T. Bachellor.
